Aloha, I’m back again with some more Harry Potter Tag related posts for you all! Today I’ll be discussing various favourites and least favourites of HP.
LET’S GOOOOO!
Favourite and least favourite of the films…
I’m not going to lie I can pick fault with every single film, with parts they left out or got wrong (in my opinion) but I’m going to put that aside as I do have a fave and least fave…
Fave – Prisoner of Azkaban. I literally will watch this film over and over. Least fave – Chamber of Secrets. There’s just something about this one, I don’t rank it as highly as the others. The spider scenes definitely do not help though 😦
Can I also make a special mention for Goblet of Fire and the whole HARRYDIDYAPUTYANAMEINTHAGOBLETOFFIYAAAAAH which is said calmly. NAH.
Favourite and least favourite of the books…
Fave – Goblet of Fire. I can’t really give you an exact reason why this is my favourite book, I think it’s just the one where it “grew up” and became a lot darker. Least fave – Chamber of Secrets. I just didn’t enjoy this book as much as the rest, it’s not that it was bad, I just think it wasn’t the best out of the 7.
Favourite and least favourite of the characters…
For this one I’m going to do my favourite and least favourite male and female separately, as I have a lot of love for quite a few of them!
Fave male – Hagrid. He is so pure and innocent, everything he does for Harry he thinks is in his best interest and when he brings him the birthday cake, my heart. Least fave male – Lockhart. I could have picked anyone else but something about this guy really rubs me up the wrong way. I think it’s the ease at which he was happy to obliviate someone and take credit for their life work, what kind of person does that…
Fave female – Minerva McGonagall. What a badass this woman is, she is literally my hero. Least fave female – Umbridge. I think there’s a theme here with the teachers?! But really, it’s the kittens and the pink trying to cover up that she was sent to spy at the school and report back to Fudge. NO THANK YOU.
Favourite and least favourite pairings…
Fave – Fred & George. These are my all time favourite pairing from HP, they were so cheeky but loveable at the same time. They also brought some of the funniest and most light hearted moments to the HP universe. Least fave – OKAY, please don’t hate me for this… Ron and Hermione. I don’t know what it is but I just don’t think Ron deserves her, for me, I would have liked to see Hermione as a strong independent woman who didn’t need no man!
