Hello my wonderful followers, and welcome back to my blog! Today’s book for review is… Girl Missing by Tess Gerritsen.
My overall rating of this book is 2 out of 5 stars.
It’s taken me a while to write this review because I just needed a little while to actually process my thoughts, there were a loooooot. ANYWAY!
I had super high hopes for this book, the premise of a young woman’s corpse turning up with no identification, being labelled as Jane Doe and then more bodies turning up, a drug epidemic and mob style activity? My kinda book! However, I was super disappointed.
Without giving too much away, there was a plotline that I felt wasn’t delved into enough and that Gerritsen didn’t expand upon, then there the downright random leaps and characters that suddenly became a huge part of the story that we’d not actually met yet…
Then there was the romance, oh dear god, does every book have to have a romance in it?! I’m reading a crime novel not a romance novel, I mean not only was the relationship cringey, it was also downright weird in the context!
I also felt that the ending was really, I don’t think this is a word SOZ, the ending was BLEHHHH, it just felt like it was a letdown book and a letdown ending.
Have you read Girl Missing, let me know what you thought in the comments below! Em xx
