Oh my goodness how is it nearly the end of 2019 already?! I literally cannot believe that it’s December and we’re getting ready for new year… I am SHOOK.
Anyway, I wanted to come on and talk about my year in reading and do what will likely be an incredibly long and super rambly post. Grab a cuppa (or a wine if you’re feeling fancy) and settle in❤️
My 2019 in reading has been MAD, I read so many more books that I ever would have thought I could, DNFR a couple that I couldn’t bare to stick with and I learnt a few things too. The main one being it is totally OK to stop reading a book and bin it from your bookshelf if you hate it. Life is too short to read books you don’t enjoy.
I read a grand total of: 35 books. Which to some may not seem like a lot, but I literally don’t think I’ve ever read so many books in a year before!
The reviews I wrote for these books were so so so varied in terms of the reviews I gave them, some were amazing, others I wondered why I wasted my goddamn time on them.
I did think about linking all my reviews in order of their star rating I gave them, but then I realised I would have to accept every single link when the post was published, and NAH!
I have established I don’t like to be too harsh when I’m reviewing, so I always try and give books and OK score and I strive too much for perfection which is why so few have 5 stars oops lmao.
I have had so much fun reading this year, and I think my favourite book (well series) I’ve read this year is the Hannibal series❤️ the whole series was amazing, and I can’t wait to re-read them in a couple of years.
WOW, if you’ve stuck with me this long CONGRATS, we are nearly done I promise.
I wanted to say lastly, a huge thank you to every single person who reads my blog, comments on my posts and likes my posts, you have no idea how much it means to me. I started this blog for myself, not anyone else, and it will always remain my space but the fact others read it and enjoy it means the WORLD.
I know my posts and reviews are probably a bit different to how other people write them, but I like writing this way, it feels more personal to how I would talk about something❤️
Anyway, thank you so much for making 2019 the most successful time on my blog, I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store.
HAPPY NEW YEAR❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
