Aloha friends and bookworms! I am here to share with you another festive book from December 2021. This was one of my faves so I’m super excited to share it!
Sex, Snow and Mistletoe by Laura Barnard.
Overall rating ❄️❄️❄️❄️ out of 5 snowflakes.
This was such a good read! It was completely different to the other ones I’d read and was a complete breath of fresh air.
Sex, Snow and Mistletoe was an easy read, but not in a negative way. It’s the kind of book you pick up with a cup of tea, in front of the fire when you need a bit of everything – humour, sarcasm and sex.
I loved how this book rounded off to a happy ending, that also left it open for others to be written which I would be down for reading!
The twist about two thirds through this book I genuinely did not see coming, I was completely shocked and I loved it, it was such a clever little way to keep the story fresh and interesting.
What did bug me was how we didn’t find out the names of our two main characters until literally the last second, I just want to know who we’re reading about is that too much to ask?!
On the whole, I just really enjoyed Sex, Snow and Mistletoe and it was completely different to any of the other books I’d picked, which was great.
