TRIGGER WARNING FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT WITHIN THE BOOK.
Oh my godddddd, this book was so good! I have been on the hunt for ages for a book like this, full of twists and turns, and shocks we never saw coming and I have found it. If I Can’t Have You in a word is WILD.
The book itself is written from Constance’s POV, in a diary or letter format – which I absolutely loved as it made me feel closer to Constance and her story that she was trying to tell us. And in that same vein, I did really like Constance as a character, I thought she was really well written and incredibly likeable, even if you didn’t want to like her.
And the plot, I don’t want to give anything away but I will say that it was SO GOOD, the entire story was brilliant. It was addictive and I had no idea what was going to come next, it really kept me on my toes.
Which is testament to the author’s incredible writing, they built the story up and crafted this amazing book full of intrigue, twists and turns, that kept you wanting to read on and on until you reached the conclusion.
I really don’t want to give too much away with this book but I will say if you’re on the fence about reading it, GO AND PICK IT UP RIGHT NOW, you will not be disappointed!
Until next time, Em xxx
