Hello friends and fellow bookworms! Todays post is a bit random, I just fancied something different on my blog. So I decided to recreate a photo from over a year ago…
I can’t find the original post that I shared the fist picture on, but a bit of background for you!
Picture one was taken in May 2020, it was midway through lockdown and I was kind of bored one day, so I thought what better to do than measure myself against books… (For reference I am 5ft3″ or just about anyway lol) and I kinda thought ehhh if they fall down, what better way to die than being crushed by my books.
The second picture (which is now missing approximately 25 books) was taken in August of 2021, when I decided to see how much my book pile had grown. It had… Drastically.
I am overwhelmed sometimes by the sheer number of books that I own, and honestly I fear having to move them all when I buy my own house. I’m scared they will get damaged or fall and crush me while I’m packing them.
With the extra 25ish books I’m missing I now have two piles that are definitely over 5ft3″ and ya know what, I’m not even sorry! I could be addicted to drugs or gambling, instead I’m addicted to buying books and adding them to my collection and then not reading them for 3 years🙈
There wasn’t really any rhyme or reason to this post, I just wanted to share something a bit different today!
Hi friends and happy December! I’m here again with another book tag, this time it’s a festive one! It’s the 12 days of Christmas tag and was created by Ashley at Falling Down the Book Hole.
ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE
THE PARTRIDGE STOOD ALONE IN THE PEAR TREE? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE STAND ALONE?
This is a tough one, as I actually read a lot of standalone books, they’re my preferred type. But, I would have to pick a recent read called Silent Pretty Things by O J Lovaz, it just really has stuck with me since I read it a few weeks back and instantly came to my mind.
ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: TWO TURTLE DOVES
LOVE IS IN THE AIR! WHO IS YOUR ONE TRUE PAIRING?
ANNABETH AND PERCY. I love them sm😭😭😭😭😭
ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: THREE FRENCH HENS
IN THE SPIRIT OF THREES, WHAT IS THE BEST TRILOGY YOU HAVE READ?
I’m not sure if this counts as a trilogy, because I think there are more books that relate directly to the world? But, I would have to say The Mistborn books.
ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:FOUR CALLING BIRDS
SINCE SERIES USUALLY CONSIST OF FOUR OR MORE BOOKS, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SERIES?
This is a really hard choice between the PJO series and the Goosebumps horrorland series, they both remind me of my childhood/teenage years, so it’s a hard choice!
ON THE FIFTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:FIVE GOLDEN RINGS
ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL! WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE VILLAIN/ANTAGONIST?
I hate to say this, but I’m really struggling to pick one for this!
ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:SIX GEESE A LAYING
CREATION IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORLD/WORLD-BUILDING?
My favourite world has to be the Final Empire and the world of Scadrial from the Mistborn series. It was just so beautifully built up whilst I was reading the books, and is one that I regularly think about.
ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SEVEN SWANS A SWIMMING
WHO NEEDS SEVEN SWANS WHEN ALL IT TAKES IS ONE GOOD ANIMAL SIDEKICK TO MAKE A HERO ROCK! WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE ANIMAL SIDEKICK?
Hedwig. She is my fave.
ON THE EIGHTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: EIGHT MAIDS A MILKING
MILK IS SO 18TH CENTURY. WHICH BOOK OR SERIES TAKES BEVERAGES/FOOD TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL?
OOOOOH, this is a tough one! I don’t really read a lot of books that discuss food or drinks, so this one was hard but I’m going to settle on Love Amongst The Recipes by Carol Cram. While I didn’t actually enjoy this book, the food within it was worth reading it for!
ON THE NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:NINE LADIES DANCING
DANCING IS JUST ONE SKILL OF A LADY! WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE KICK-ASS FEMALE LEAD?
I’m going to have to pick Vin from the Mistborn series.
ON THE TENTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:TEN LORDS A LEAPING
LEAPING LORDS? HOW ABOUT WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE LEADING LAD?
Favourite would have to be Percy Jackson, cliché and expected from me, I know, but no other character brings me quite as much joy as he does!
ON THE ELEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:ELEVEN PIPERS PIPING:
WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT MUSIC? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK OR BOOKISH THING THAT DEALS WITH MUSIC? (IT CAN BE ABOUT MUSIC, REFERENCE MUSIC A LOT ETC.)
This one suddenly came to me while I was trying to think of books that included music! I’m going with Chopping Spree by Angela Sylvaine. It has loads of references to 80s music, so it was a HUGE hit with me.
ON THE TWELFTH DAY OF CHRISTMASMY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME:12 DRUMMERS DRUMMING
DRUM ROLL PLEASE…WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE READ OF THIS YEAR?
Do I have to pick just one? That seems extremely unfair when I’m just finalising my list of 20 favourite reads of the year! Be sure to come back to my blog and check that list out when it goes live in the next couple of weeks.
As always, please consider yourself tagged if you want to take part! And thank you, for all of your continued love and support this year, I am grateful for every single person that likes, comments or otherwise interacts with my blog, it makes me realise everything I put into it is worthwhile.
Hello fellow bookworms and bloggers! I thought today I would do a slightly different getting to know me kinda post, using the Meet the Book Blogger Tag, which was created by Samantha and Amber, the Bibliomavens.
WHO IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BOOK CHARACTER?
This is a really tough one as I am obsessed with soooo many characters. But, I’m going to be quite cliché and say Annabeth Chase from the PJO series.
She’s one of the most badass characters EVER and I just love everything about her. I actually wanted her to be my BFF when I was younger (still do lmao).
IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERT ISLAND, WHICH BOOK WOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOU? (SURVIVAL BOOKS DO NOT COUNT).
Can I pick more than 1? I’m picking more than 1…
I would take IT by Stephen King, might finally get around to reading it when I have all the time in the world.
I would also take the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. It’s one of my favourite series and I can easily get lost and immerse myself into the world.
ALL of the Goosebumps books by R L Stine. Because ya know, I need to relive my childhood while I’m just laying there stranded.
WHAT’S YOUR MOST UNPOPULAR BOOK OPINION?
I have a very strong dislike for hardbacks. Whew, it felt therapeutic to say that out loud… I just find they don’t fit on my shelf as well and they’re never the same size and it just they bug me okay 😦
WHAT’S YOUR WEIRDEST BOOKISH HABIT?
Is talking to my books weird? Or does everyone do that?! If it’s not weird then I guess I don’t have one to put down for this!
WHAT CHARACTER WOULD YOU BRING TO A FAMILY EVENT AS A FAKE PARTNER?
I would love to bring Patch from Becca Fitzpatrick’s book series as my fake partner, especially since I’m obsessed with the fake dating trope…
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO START A BOOK BLOG?
I love reading, and I love being able to share what I’m reading and what I thought about it. I did start out just reviewing on Goodreads but then I wanted to branch out into other bookish content and so I created my blog and here I am now!
WHAT ABOUT READING AND BOOKS DO YOU LOVE THE MOST?
Being able to get lost and immerse yourself into a whole different world. Books were my escape when I was younger, and while I don’t need that escape now it still brings me joy to step into another world when I’m reading.
WHAT IS YOUR FIELD OF STUDY/DESIRED PROFESSION/CURRENT PROFESSION?
I am currently a business administrator, but undertaking training with the AAT for a finance and accounting qualification. I’m being promoted soon so it’s all change!
WHAT ARE SOME BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS THAT BECAME YOUR FAVOURITES/OBSESSIONS?
Oh god, here’s where I have to admit that I haven’t read any of the books people have recommended to me yet (sorry peeps!)
WHAT IS THE BOOK THAT YOU SHOVE DOWN EVERYONE’S THROAT?
So, earlier this year it was The Pastel Effect by Arly Carmack, but then I moved onto The Neighbour by London Clarke and Ariadne, I Love You by J Ashley Smith. But my long term, OG loves are The Shining, Salem’s Lot and the entire Hannibal Lecter series.
And there you go! Something a little different than the standard get to know me posts!
As always, if you want to take part, please consider yourself tagged, and let me know if you do so I can make sure I hop on over to your blog and check it out 🙂
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girlin January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This weeks topic is book characters that I require an update on IMMEDIATELY. Okay, it’s actually characters I would like an update on, but come ONNNNNN ya girl needs to know where these people are at.
1 – Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. Of course I grouped them together, because they are very much a couple but I need to know, are they married?! Do they have pets?! Do they have children?! Come on I need something!
2 – Bella and Edward. Stephenie, honey, they’re vampires that are going to live forever you could create so much more content for them. PLEASE.
3 – Matt and Ava. These are two characters from Sophie Kinsella’s book Love Your Life that I recently read, and I grew so attached to these two main characters… All I need is a small update and maybe a book about the rest of their lives?!
4 – Literally everyone still alive from This Lie Will Kill You. I just need to know what’s going on with them. The ending kinda confused me and I just wanna know everyone is okay 😦
5 – Every single book that ever ended on a cliff hanger. Now I know this technically isn’t a character, but since characters are usually in cliff hangers I felt it appropriate to include this one… I just need to know how our characters are doing, I NEED CLOSURE PEOPLE.
I feel like this list got more chaotic as time went on, but that’s okay because I feel like knowing more about these characters is of vital importance to my life and I wanted to stress that feeling in my post!
As always, be sure to let me know if you’re taking part in TTT and I will come check out your post and see who we’re all looking (and holding out hope) for updates on.
Hi book peeps! It’s book tag day again and this time I’m taking part in the meme book tag! This one was created by booktuber Saajid of Books are My Social Life.
CRYING KIM KARDASHIAN: A BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY
The first one that springs to mind is Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer. I sobbed while reading the dedications so there was no hope for me, let’s be honest…
SALT BAE: A BOOK THAT NEEDED A LITTLE SOMETHING MORE
Me and Mr Jones by Lucy Diamond. You can read my full review here, but my main issue was the epilogue, it would have been nice to just have that lil bit extra.
GUY THINKING: A BOOK THAT MADE YOU THINK
For this one, I’m going to pick She Kills Me by Jennifer Wright. It’s a non-fic book about female serial killers, and it definitely made me think about my knowledge base and then things that I wanted to research after I’d finished reading!
CONFUSED GUY: A BOOK WHOSE HYPE YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I’ve tried to read this multiple times, but I just never understood the hype around it when it first came out and I certainly don’t now I’m older.
EVIL PATRICK: A GUILTY PLEASURE READ (WHATEVER YOU CONSIDER GUILTY PLEASURE TO MEAN)
I don’t really have a guilty pleasure book, I’m quite open about what I read and enjoy.
MERYL STREEP: A BOOK THAT YOU’RE ALWAYS HYPING UP
I literally will hype up SOOOOO many books, it’s hard to pick just one. I think though this year, the one that’s made it onto a lot of lists is The Pastel Effect by Arly Carmack, it was so good.
SUCCESSFUL BABY: A BOOK (WHETHER YOU LIKED IT OR NOT) THAT YOU FELT ACCOMPLISHED AFTER READING
I really felt accomplished when I finished reading The Stranger by Albert Camus. I did enjoy it, but my god, it was a mind fuck and I felt so proud of myself for actually finishing it and having some understanding of what I’d just read haha.
PENNYWISE: A BOOK WITH A PROMISING CONCEPT/A BOOK THAT YOU HAD HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR BUT ULTIMATELY LET YOU DOWN
I’m going to go with IT by Stephen King for this one. I’ve never actually finished it because I had super high expectations but I felt really let down and underwhelmed when I started reading it.
HEADPHONES GUY: AN AUDIOBOOK THAT YOU ENJOYED
I don’t think I’ve ever listened to an audiobook so I’ve not got an answer for this one 😦
DISTRACTED GUY: TWO BOOKS: ONE YOU’VE BEEN NEGLECTING ON YOUR TBR FOR A LONG TIME AND A NEW ONE THAT’S DISTRACTING YOU/PIQUING YOUR INTEREST
Oh god, the one off my TBR is The Green Mile by Stephen King, it has to have been on there for like 7 or 8 years now! The newest one that’s catching my eye is Lore by Alexandra Bracken.
CASH ME OUTSIDE GIRL: A BOOK THAT TRIED TO BE SOMETHING THAT IT’S NOT (PRETENTIOUS, DIDN’T LIVE UP TO WHAT IT WAS MARKETED AS, ETC.)
The first one that springs to mind is The Haunted by Nicki Valentine, it was meant to be scary and atmospheric and full of creeps and chills and it fell SO FLAT.
DOG IN FIRE: HOW MANY UNREAD BOOKS DO YOU OWN?
Thanks to my handy TBR list I have easily calculated that I have 115 unread books that I own!
As always, if you want to take part consider yourself tagged!
Hello fellow bookworms and bloggers! Today is tag day! I found this baby over at Read at Midnight and decided to give it a go.
Let’s talk unpopular opinions.
1. A popular book you didn’t like.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I could not stand this book, in fact, I still can’t. It just gets on my nerves and I don’t find it an enjoyable read, which considering most of the population seemed to absolutely love it when it came out definitely puts me in the minority.
2. A book series that everyone hates but you love.
I’m not sure if others hate it or if they just don’t enjoy it as much as the stand alone books, but the Horror Land collection by R L Stine. I loved this series, and I actually re-read the whole series last year!
3. A love triangle where the MC ends up with the person you didn’t want them to end up with.
I’ve actually been pretty happy with every relationship that I’ve read lately, so, I don’t have an answer for this one I’m afraid 😦
4. A popular genre you rarely reach for.
Young adult. I rarely read YA books, although I am making an effort to include them more in my TBR.
5. A popular character you didn’t like.
Oh gosh, okay, here goes, please don’t kill me… Peeta Mellark. It’s not that I don’t like him, it’s just that I like him less and he just doesn’t fill me with as much joy to read about him as other characters. But, I do agree he should have ended up with Katniss over Gale.
6. A popular author you can’t seem to get into.
John Green, I think I read The Fault in Our Stars first and as you can see above I didn’t enjoy it so it kind of put me off his other books.
7. A popular trope you’re tired of seeing.
LOVE TRIANGLES. REMOVE THEM FROM MY BOOKS!!!! Yes the capitals were intentional, I need to voice my anger about how much I hate love triangles, they are pointless and I’m pretty sure they raise my blood pressure when I read them*
*Maybe a slight exaggeration lmaooooo
8. A popular series you have no interest in reading.
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. This one is just not for me…
9. The saying goes “the book is always better than the movie” but what movie do you prefer to the book?
I actually prefer the Gone Girl movie to the book (maybe it has something to do with Ben Affleck playing Nick). I found because there was so much to absorb from this one that the movie was just an easier way to consume everything.
As always, if you want to take part consider yourself tagged! And be sure to let me know what you thought of my unpopular opinions.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girlin January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is books that I would hand to someone who claims they don’t like reading. (This is after I’ve spent an appropriate amount of time standing in shock that someone doesn’t like to read?!?!?! Sounds fake).
These are books that all mean something to me, for various reasons, and whilst they may not be books that others would think about handing out, I’m hoping that the personal connection I have with the books will compel whoever I’ve given them to read them!
Here we gooooo…
1 – The Shining by Stephen King. This is hands down my favourite S.K. book, ever. So I’m hoping that even if the person doesn’t like reading I can guilt trip them into reading this one 😀
2 – Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. I personally think this is a classic and if you like the film then you HAVE to read the book, it offers so much more insight.
3 – Psycho by Robert Bloch. Like come on, it’s a short book, you can manage to get through it!
4 – The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I added this one purely for the fact I love it and I need more people to talk about it with haha.
5 – The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris. I couldn’t leave this one off, it’s one of the best books I have ever read and if the person who doesn’t like reading doesn’t enjoy this one then honestly there is no hope for them at all!
I only picked 5 because I fear that 10 would overwhelm the person, and scare them off, especially if I follow the same horror/creepy/scary vein…
Let me know if you’ve taken part in TTT so I can check out your post and come and see what books you would suggest to a non-reader!
1 –THRILLER: A BOOK THAT WAS AN ABSOLUTE PAGE TURNER
The Woman In The Water by Kelly Heard. I absolutely loved this book, I couldn’t put it down and it had this eerie vibe that would be perfect for a Halloween read!
2 –SOMEBODY’S WATCHING ME: A BOOK THAT GAVE YOU THE SERIOUS CREEPS
The Shining by Stephen King. I have read this book several times and every time it creeps me the fuck out. Honestly.
3 – VAMPIRE: A BOOK YOU HATED SO MUCH IT WAS SOUL SUCKING, I.E INCREDIBLY TEDIOUS TO GET THROUGH
A recent one I read was The Devil’s Staircase by Helen Fitzgerald, it was a real slog to read and I wish I had stuck with my earlier idea to DNFR it. Also, a special mention for a book called Unnatural which I did DNF, at around 22% but honestly, it felt like 202% through, it was a real drag.
4 – THIS IS HALLOWEEN: YOUR FAVOURITE TREAT/SNACK TO EAT WHILE READING
I try not to eat while I’m reading because I don’t want to get anything on my books or my kindle. but I do love a good biscuit or cookie while I’m reading, when I fancy a treat!
5 – TIME WARP: “LET’S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN.” WHAT BOOK OR BOOKS DO YOU LIKE TO RETURN TO AT THIS TIME OF YEAR?
Anything by Stephen King, I will re-read his books over and over again during Halloween. And any of the Goosebumps books, they’re perfect for reminding me of Halloween’s gone by!
6 –HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF: A BOOK YOU LOVED SO MUCH, YOU DEVOURED IT
I absolutely powered my way through Unethical by Marla L Anderson, honestly, it was SO GOOD that I couldn’t put it down. I loved it sooooo much.
7 – THE ADDAMS FAMILY: A BOOK FEATURING A DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY
Do I need to look any further than the PJO series?!
8 – SCARY MONSTERS (AND SUPER CREEPS): A BOOK GENRE THAT YOU ARE SCARED OR INTIMIDATED TO PICK UP
I am absolutely terrified by fantasy books, I mean there are so many out there? And they’re all really long? And like 10 book series? With worlds entirely crafted by words? And they have maps in the books? There is just a lot to take in and they actually make me feel kind of anxious.
9 – TWILIGHT ZONE: A BOOK WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE PREMISE
Abra-Cadaver by Matt Drabble. I have never read anything like it before, and I don’t think I ever will again, it was an incredibly clever premise.
Let me know what you think of my answers and any that you would pick for the different song titles!
Hey friends! A bonus book tag from me today instead of a book review… Specifically because it’s HALLOWEEN MONTH!!!!! and I wanted to be able to share this tag with you so I’ve swapped it out for a review, anyway, here we go.
I found the All About Halloween Book Tag over on Madame Writer, who credits CatFairy Books as the creator. But it seems that CatFairy Books has taken down their blog. I still wanted to give them credit though as this is a truly brilliant tag!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE HALLOWEEN MOVIES?
I’m going to be sooooo unoriginal here and say Halloween 1978.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE HALLOWEEN BOOK?
They aren’t specifically Halloween themed, but I love reading the Goosebumps series around Halloween, the sense of nostalgia they bring to me is second to none and they remind me of when I used to scare myself silly as a child watching them on TV with all the lights off.
WHAT OTHER HALLOWEEN BOOKS WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?
The Shining by Stephen King and Salem’s Lot by Stephen King. I know they aren’t set at Halloween but they’re both ones that are perfect for reading with the lights dimmed, fluffy blankets, a hot chocolate and lots of Halloween sweets.
DO YOU OWN ANY UGLY HALLOWEEN SWEATERS?
I actually don’t🥺 but my mission for next year is to either buy one or ask my Nan to knit me one (I’m not saying my Nan knits ugly sweaters, but she defo would understand the assignment if that’s what I wanted!)
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE HALLOWEEN COSTUMES?
I love costumes that are based on scary characters or Halloween characters, so like people dressed as Jason or Freddy or Leatherface, oh and I love people who dress like Beetlejuice!!!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR HALLOWEEN THIS YEAR?
Now I live in the UK where Halloween isn’t as widely celebrated, but I will still be carving my pumpkin and waiting for any trick or treaters, all while watching horror films on repeat and then being too scared to drag my ass up to bed.
We also might be going to scarefest at Alton Towers for my birthday, but that’s a little bit earlier in October so.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD HALLOWEEN MEMORY?
We always put the pumpkins outside, to show that we were happy for trick or treaters to knock on our door, and my Mom would take me outside to the end of the path and I’d walk up to my own front door and knock and shout TRICK OR TREAT at my Dad and he would pretend to be shocked that I was out there and then I’d get to pick some sweets out of the bowl, it was so cute.
I also used to go trick or treating a lot around my local neighbourhood and with friends from school and their parents so that was cool too!
And a bonus for you all, I was actually about 8 years old when I watched Scream for the first time, it was one Halloween and me and my friend from primary school had snuck downstairs whilst the adults were watching it and I think that’s what ignited my love for horror films…
Anyway, let me know in the comments what you’re doing for Halloween this year and be sure to share with me your favourite scary movies!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girlin January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This weeks topic is bookish pet peeves, of which I don’t think I have 10 of but once I start writing I’m sure they will all just come flooding out!
Here is my list:
1 – People who borrow books and then never return them to you. WHY?! Just give me my book back, please, it needs to be with it’s friends on my bookshelf, RETURN IT TO ME 😦
2 – Stickers. On. Books.
3 – Stickers printed directly onto the book. There is NO NEED for this. (Also yes I have spent a lot of time trying to peel these off before I realised…)
4 – Book series where the covers don’t match. Pick a design and stick with it, some of us like things to look neat and orderly.
5 – Authors who are racist/homophobic/transphobic and generally hateful towards others still having a platform even thought they don’t deserve it (yes, this is aimed at specific authors :)))))
6 – When people try and talk to me while I’m reading. HELLO, DO U NOT SEE THE BOOK IN MY HANDS?!
7 – Kindle books that are edited terribly, my god, I have actually DNFR books before because the formatting was so bad, I hate it.
8 – When a book is made into a film and they change huge parts of the plot or exclude them because “they don’t have time to put them into the film” MAKE TIME!!!!
9 – When someone hates my favourite book. What do you mean you don’t like The Shining, get out.
10 – People who judge others for the way they consume their books, whether that be via paperback/hardback, kindle, or audiobook, we are all readers and we shouldn’t be criticised for how we read.
Hmm, surprisingly it wasn’t hard for me to think of 10 bookish pet peeves… Perhaps I’m more easily irritated than I thought!
Let me know in the comments what your bookish pet peeves are and we can compare.
