This book was the split POV of dreams! I loved the way the author split the chapters and allowed us to see it from both Charlie and Simon’s perspective, it’s such a good way to write when it comes to romance novels.
It also meant that we got to spend equal time (probably not the best way to phrase it!) with both characters, which meant we got into the nitty gritty of them and it was oh so worth it. They were both incredibly intriguing in their own right and very well written, to be interesting and likeable and it really made me root for them through the whole book.
The book itself was really easy to read, it flowed nicely and despite the fact that it was part of a longer book series you could read this as a standalone novel. It gets wrapped up at the end of the book in such a way that you could just happily end it here and feel content.
Sure, it was cliche but there were some different angles (trying not to give too much a way here!) that definitely added that extra layer to the story and gave it a little edge.
It was just all round a really good book, I enjoyed reading it and it was a nice easy read and a bit of a palette cleanser after reading a few heavier books.
I wouldn’t shout about it from the rooftops but I certainly would recommend it if you just want something easy to read with a little bit of an edge.
Until next time, Em xxx
