I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I actually was unable to put it down and read it in a matter of just a few hours, it was addictive…

I’m not sure if entertaining is the right way to describe this book, but I certainly thought it was a bloody good read and once that I was looking for. I’ve been reading a lot of crime thrillers lately and none of them hit the mark quite like Dark Water did.

I have previously read one of Bryndza’s books and as before, I absolutely loved Erika, I find her quite refreshing and different to the usual characters we get in these books, she brings a breath of fresh air. The other character I did enjoy reading about, but due to the nature of their involvement in the story, it was hard to form opinions on them other than what the author wanted us to think.

And, as always the writing was impeccable, it was addictive whilst also managing to be eerie and keep up an incredible atmosphere and feeling of fear.

I also don’t want to give too much away, but the plot was not what I was expecting at all, at every point there was a new twist that I had no idea was coming! Plus, every little storyline worked perfectly together to tie the story in and move it along.

I was SHOCKED by the ending, or as the kids say these days “shook”.

The whole book was just so good, I enjoyed it immensely and definitely would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a crime thriller to enjoy.

Until next time, Em xxx
