My review…
I am blown away by this story, I had a small inkling of what was happening but that didn’t stop me from loving it!
The first chapter grabbed my interest straight away, I loved Marge because she seemed like a proper nosey neighbour (we all have them) and it made it feel that little bit more realistic.
One of my favourite aspects of this story was Mary herself, she had this balance of adorable young child and creepy as heck kid, Charlie Dalton balanced the two perfectly and Mary got right under my skin…
Nadine and Mary’s relationship was a highlight of this book for me as it really brought a human feel to the story and made the reader feel quite sorry for both of them.
The ending, well the last chapter or so was brilliantly done and even though I had an inkling of what was about to happen I couldn’t have predicted it at all!
I thought this book was excellently written, it had the perfect balance of emotions throughout, the writing was good, the chapter length was perfect and the whole thing just really packed a punch for me.
