Wicked Girl (Wicked #3), Piper Lawson – A Review. [SPOILERS].

WOOP, hello everyone, I am back again with my final review of the Wicked series, it’s Wicked Girl (#3) and you can read my review for book 1 and 2 here.

I want to start by saying that this book had a happy ending which gives me life, I feel like all 3 books led up to this point and it gave me so much joy that Haley and Jax finally got their shit together!

I didn’t think that Piper Lawson could kick the sex up another notch from the previous book, but she did. As usual, it didn’t feel cheap and was written so well.

Just like book 2 we started to feel more emotions with one, it wasn’t just a teenager following a rock star around anymore. There were some really grown up themes going on. I did feel that Piper Lawson could have addressed these more and included them within the story rather than just brushing them to the side – it did frustrate me a little bit that they weren’t discussed after the initial mention.

I particularly enjoyed how we got to see Jax and Annie, it was a refreshing change to see Jax in a different light, and to watch him grow right from book 1 through to now was something that Piper Lawson managed to do effortlessly. I really enjoyed their interactions towards the end, when Annie really opened up to her Dad.

There were a couple of points that I felt there was a pointless backstory, but it did come to a head in the end, and made sense. I just wish that it had been explained/built upon better earlier in the book so we didn’t feel like it was time wasting or filling space.

The happy ending oh my goodness my heart, it made me so happy and I feel it rounded off the book series perfectly!
